Tonight on House
Oh wait... House isn't on tonight. It's Tuesday, and alas... no House.
Why you may ask?
Because the baseball playoffs. Now, don't get me wrong, I love baseball, especially at playoff time. But tis still pisses me off. We went all summer with no new episodes, and then, mercifully, they gave us some new ones. However, this gift was to last only 2 weeks... 2 measly weeks, before they were preempted by the playoffs.
Why, tell me why, didn't they just hold them off until after the playoffs so that we wouldn't have gotten a taste of that sweet ambrosia only to have it ripped away from us. WHY? WHY? WHY?
The upside here is that with the MONTH delay in the broadcast of new episodes, House should run almost the entire season of American Idol. Which will make Tuesday the best night on TV...
AI, House, then Boston Legal. Which brings me to my next subject... the fall of Desperate Housewifes. Lousy. Really lousy. The suspence and drama is gone. Now it is just a second rate primetime soap. What happened to Mary Alice Young? Have we forgotten about her? Is Drea's dad pissed Mike let Paul go? Does Mike really think Zach wants him as a father? Are these questions we are getting answered? No, we have to take about the mind numbing repetition of Susan's idiocy. The only reason I watch the show anymore is to get settled in for the best show on Sunday night... Grey's Anatomy, which is improving with each episode.
Vote for Pedro? I say vote for Alan... Alan Shore. No one has better chemistry on TV right now than James Spader and William Shatner.
Did I mention that Julia shot Garrett today? ANother story line that has long been boring. But that is another post.

Y'know, I love Hugh Laurie, but I just cannot stand House. There are enough arrogant pricks in the real world without having to deal with a fictional one once a week.

Pbbbt! House is great stuff! So is Boston Legal. Can I tell you just HOW torqued I am not to have cable right now? I'm IN NASHVILLE, where broadcast channels should be clear, but I can only pick up snowy pictures on 4 & 5 (the NBC and CBS affiliates respectively) on my home TV. No ABC, no FOX. For the World Series, I'll be watching a 3" handheld screen, which ironically (but fortunately) picks up FOX better than any other station. Who's got a VCR and FedEx? ;)
