Elephants have extraordinary memories. I, like them, rarely forget anything. So, as I have such a memory, it was not hard to not forget the 5/20 deadline for "bucket".
True, what I posted was not a true short story, but at least I produced something. Unlike other people, whom I will not mention.... http://kellell.blogspot.com & http://katoolish.blogspot.com.
And even though it has been well documented that I can not remember how certain words are spelled, I can remember a deadline.
Still, I would like to note that the gauntlet was thrown down, and the challenge unanswered.
I therefore bestow upon my self the title of Lord Bucket Bloggerspiel, champion of the Bloggers.

Yeah... I didn't get that it was a blog challenge, either. But, no, I couldn't come up with anything. And now I've got to go back and figure out what yours was. I don't remember any bucket fiction....

The rust bucket?!? The rust bucket?!? I thought this was a fiction contest! For this we have to kiss your sword??? I think not! I could have come up with all kinds of life stories: mopping, cleaning... vomiting. But no, I was racking my brain for some interesting FICTION. Well, sir, I say the challenge was unmet on all sides. A new word must be issued and the rules must be made clear! How 'bout them buckets???

Please refer to my posting "Doing My Blog-Duty". It clearly states that we would psot them on our blogs and makes not reference to it having to be fiction. Read more closely next time.
Now, I will have to double your taxes for this insurrection!

Ahem. By your own words are ye condemned, m'lord. I refer you to MY posting of May 05, 2005 entitled "The gauntlet has been thrown down...". If the postings did not have to be fiction, I CLEARLY won the contest, for my posting fits all the criteria you set down in YOUR posting. Didn't we used to have a judge for these things in the past? :)
