It all evens out since I got 3 of them for free. Still, it has been a good run. I don't see me adding too many more to the list in the near future, but you never know.

"Hot-lanta"

I spent last week in Atlanta installing the equipment we make at work into a train station. From this I will say two things: Whoever dubbed that city "Hotlanta" was dismally mistaken (average temp in the station was 45 degrees with a wind chill hovering in the lower 30's) and that after sitting indian style on frigid granite for a number of hours, your bladder may say you need to pee, but your prostate is too hypothermic to comply.

All in all it went well. 85 hours in a week is a little beyond me anymore, but we pulled it off.

The weekend before I went I played football on Saturday, moved my sister on Sundaym then drove to Atlanta Monday morning and began my time crawling and sitting on the floor. My chiropractor will have her work out for herself tomorrow.

It is almost tax time again... It is the law that W2's must be postmarked by the last day of January, so I don't expect mine to arrive until the end of the first week of February. It is a long standing Cubic tradition for them to hold them until the very last legal day to post them. With this I hope to pay some stuff off and get us int he position to do our renovations. Should be a fun spring if we can break ground. Expect an invite to the house warming... and for those with a strong back, expect an invitation to the garage moving party.

Long Long Ago... In a blog far, far away

Yes it has been quite some time since I last blogged. The privacy I used to have right out in the open at work has been replaced with a place center stage, so even my break times passed writing on my blog have been affected. Alas, I hope to have this solved with the application of mirror tint on my office windows. It may sound silly but it will be a life saver. I am also aware that i promised pictures, but those will have to wait.

Funny thing happened to me the other day. I was really craving Chinese food, and no one could go with, so I went alone. I used to dine alone quite a bit, so I was not that bothered with it. However i was lamenting the rather short list of possible companions. There are only 2 people I normally extend lunch invitations to, so if both have other plans, I am SOL. Anyway, I was lamenting when I got the fortune cookie... Guess what it said. You will always be surrounded by your true friends. The irony was not missed by me anyway.

Christmas was pretty good. The kids hauled it in as usual.

Poker! Ah, poker. To be honest, I have gone into each of our recent poker games with a plan, or a method of play to be more accurate. Some have been fairly successful, some have not been. The methods from a week ago was VERY successful. $48 profit... in quarters... not too shabby.

Sunday marks the end of an era... well more like an age. I hav ehelped my sister move all over the state, and Sunday will be our last horrah. After this weekend she will call the pacific paradise of San Diego home. I think it is funny that this is the last move, as the move out there was also on a SUnday and the model of moving effeciency. Dad and I pulled up at her place in my now home of Manchester around 8 am. We loaded her house, drove to Nashville, unloaded, ate lunch, returned the U-Hauled, and hauled ass back to Tullahoma in time for my 2pm tip-off. The mini-van that both she and I have taken our turns being guardian of has never been driven so aggresively.... Wait a minute, Kelly had it, so maybe it has.

Off to Atlanta next week, to freeze my ass off in an open train station for a week. An enriching experience to be sure.

Mead... gonna make some. When it is done, consider yourself invited to get a good drunk on.

Until next month... I mean time.
